Welcome to BusinessMomsKiosk.com. This blog is written to give tips, advice and support for women who wish to build a business at home, using the internet.
I am a single mom living in Madison, WI.
I have homeschooled my kids and done all sorts of jobs from home so that I had the flexibility of continuing to homeschool. Over the years, I have done everything from daycare, sewing, and phone calls, to selling essential oils, making soap and even making sample color strips for a mortar company.
The best solution I found for working at home and fulfilling my motherly duties has been using the internet.
I have made two main sites which use affiliate marketing to bring in money:
- www.stress-free-mama.com This site is devoted to helping busy mothers to stay healthy and stress-free with natural health.
- www.compostheaven.com This site gives tips and tricks for composting, especially with the challenges of urban composting.
While building these sites, I have heard many mothers struggle with providing for their families while still wanting to be available to them. Often a 9-5 job dictates when a mother can even go home to nurse a sick child. I have watched friends put their young ones in child care; I have watched families torn apart by financial stress.
I have dearly wanted to help them all.
In building my websites, I have learned a lot about the internet and about marketing, and surprisingly, I love it. I come from a natural health, hippy-dippy background, and money was always the dark enemy. But as I built these sites, and came to understand the freedom that the internet offers mothers, I saw internet business differently. Building an internet business, and using the internet to reach people you can help is beautiful to me. I can connect with people all over the world through the internet. I meet people I would never have met. And I can be useful to them.

If you don’t know much about the internet, or about marketing, you won’t even know the potential it holds, but believe me, you can make money and have a flexible schedule. It is possible!

I have many different tools available, depending on your goals, needs, and personality. The internet is still in the wild-west days, and there are many ways to do the same things.
